Our Responsibilities

Purchasing & Accreditations

Over recent years our buying policy has been proactively influenced by the environmental responsibility of trading in timber. Brooksfloor’s environment commitment is explained fully in these two documents:

Where possible, product is sourced from proven and sustainable forests.

To boost its responsible sourcing efforts, Brooksfloor is the first company in the UK to participate in the Nature’s Barcode third part verification of supply chains. This ensures that products are legally harvested and manufactured with consistent constituent species and origin. A quick scan of the Nature’s barcode QR code displayed on our pallets and individual flooring packs will take you to the specific product page on Nature’s barcode website and verify the composition of the flooring you have purchased.

We have implemented a due diligence system which has been developed by an EU timber regulation approved monitoring organisation. This allows us to map our supply chains to determine the origin of timber and the companies involved in processing and trading.
